Job summary

Supervise the accounts receivable associates and ensure timely billing of invoices and collections. The Red Hat Finance team is looking for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations while being accountable all accounts receivable business procedures and functions. You’ll report directly to the Finance Director.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Supervise a small team of overseas shared services associates

  • Ensure that valid invoices, credit notes, and adjustments are processed with proper approval and necessary supporting documentation

  • Follow up with Order Management (OM) team, customers, and account managers when necessary to resolve billing issues

  • Perform month-end activities related to accounts receivable

  • Calculate quarterly rebates attainment for partners

  • Prepare journal entries; maintain and reconcile ledger accounts

  • Perform billing adjustments within the framework of established policy; work with the Accounting team to ensure that revenue recognition is accurate

  • Support financial planning by forecasting cash collection

  • Participate in statutory and internal audit activities

  • Identify areas for process improvement for invoicing and collection and improve customer satisfaction in the area of billing

  • Be involved in all projects affecting accounts receivable

Required skills

  • 8+ years of relevant experience

  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications; knowledge of Oracle applications is a plus

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent customer services skills and friendly and professional attitude

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work under pressure

  • Ability to work proactively under minimal supervision

  • Experience in IT or telco industries or a U.S. multinational corporation (MNC) is a plus
