Help the Deal Desk team facilitate the implementation of non-standard or complex deals. The Red Hat Sales Operations team is looking for a Deal Desk Specialist to join us in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In this role, you will provide assistance to the Sales team and stakeholders in the structuring and documentation of complex deals while adhering to the corporate policies, processes, programs, and systems that affect the structuring and implementation of revenue transactions. You’ll need to have passion, dedication, and proven ability to understand complex problems while providing explanations and solutions which are sound and clearly communicated.
Primary job responsibilities
Establish solid, trusted working relationships with all Red Hat teams that contribute to the structure of, or may be impacted by, the non-standard or complex deals, specifically the Sales, Business Affairs, Finance, Operations, Product Management, Product Marketing, Global Professional Services, and Customer Experience and Engagement teams
Review business terms language in non-standard or complex agreements for compliance with corporate policies; ensure use of Red Hat agreements and business forms whenever possible
Draft business terms language for non-standard or complex agreements as required; work closely with Business Affairs and Revenue teams on contract review and revision
Work with multiple internal teams in responding to RFPs to produce compelling, cohesive response documents that comply with corporate and financial policies
Ensure that deal practices are documented, optimized, communicated, adhered to, and in support of global financial, operational, and sales objectives
Advise on deal structure and possible ramifications
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; experience with drafting contract language is a plus
Ability to communicate across all levels of management
Proven skills in negotiation, analysis, logic, problem-solving, crisis management, and leadership
Familiarity with operations, order processing, revenue recognition, legal contracts, purchase orders, and license agreements
Organized, detail-oriented, motivated, and persistent with skills in diplomacy and persuasion
Proficient in spreadsheet analysis
Comfortable handling multiple, urgent-priority tasks or projects and relationships under pressure and stress
Adept at working quickly and thoroughly under changing conditions and timetables
Experience, preferably with a technology company, working in a rapidly-changing, deadline-based role involving interaction with multiple levels of management and peers
Background in finance, revenue, contracts, legal administration, or operations (business, sales, and channel)
Fluent language skills in English
Experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Oracle a plus
