Job summary

Create and uncover sales opportunities in both new and existing customer accounts through well-planned demand generation efforts, including cold calling. The Ansible by Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Ansible Sales Specialist to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for Ansible by Red Hat software subscription sales offerings and services to prospective and current accounts. You'll need to have the ability to understand customer needs and challenges and to link them to a set of Ansible by Red Hat offerings. This role should ideally be located in the central region of the U.S., including Texas, Arizona, Colorado, or Illinois. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Identify customer business needs and articulate how Ansible by Red Hat solutions can address these needs; collaborate with the Sales team on account strategy, demand generation activities, implementation plans, and results

  • Make extensive use of prospecting techniques to generate customer interest and provide a targeted value proposition

  • Research marketing goals and objectives, Ansible by Red Hat markets, supported hardware platforms, marketing and business trends, and industry knowledge to assess account needs and develop sales opportunities

  • Implement aspects of territory and account management and development including qualifying, forecasting, and pipeline management of sales opportunities within your account territory

  • Negotiate and shepherd the deal through contract negotiations and signature

  • Close software sales and achieve assigned software revenue targets

Required skills

  • 4-6 years of experience in software enterprise sales

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, management information systems, marketing, or a related field of study

  • Public speaking and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of sales techniques and tools like (SFDC), Challenger, HubSpot, etc.

  • Willingness to travel as business needs dictate

  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work and learn on your own

  • Ability to work as part of an exciting team

  • Ability to discuss key industry issues at multiple levels within an organization
