Job summary

Develop and grow the business for Red Hat's SAP-related solutions in Germany. The Red Hat Partner Sales team is looking for a passionate and smart Business Development Manager to join us in Germany. In this role, you will lead the strategy to grow the revenue in that market along with the local sales teams with SAP and with partners. You'll also work with other teams from Red Hat to integrate marketing and sales strategies and carry out an agreed-upon business plan. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Guide customer adoption of Red Hat's solutions for the SAP market; manage partner development and achieve sales targets

  • Meet assigned sales quotas by acquiring new customer accounts and renewing and growing existing SAP customer base

  • Maintain and develop executive relationships within SAP customers and the system integration (SI) ecosystem and develop joint go-to-market plans based on the value proposition

  • Manage the relevant SAP partner ecosystem

  • Grow existing Red Hat’s business relationships at customer organizations using SAP and acquire new business

  • Manage internal Red Hat’s associates to support sales and account expansion efforts

  • Provide sales support to the direct and partner sales organizations through training, customer visits, and programs; facilitate technical and administrative information, demonstrations, and customer price quotes for our offerings

  • Understand and integrate Red Hat’s sales and marketing initiatives to support and use the SAP-related go-to-market strategy

  • Define and carry out a mutually developed business plan, including sales, operational, and technical training activities

  • Find new opportunities within your assigned territory related to SAP and SAP HANA

Required skills

  • Ability to explain and convince the targeted partners about Red Hat's technology position and benefits with infrastructure and technologies up to the SAP application

  • 4-6 years of sales experience working with or for a Global Alliance Partner like HPE, IBM, Dell, Cisco, or Fujitsu; experience working with SAP and in the SAP market

  • 4-6 years of successful solutions software direct sales experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and follow-up skills

  • Negotiation skills and ability to guide and close sales opportunities; experience with solutions selling methodologies

  • Ability to build long-term relationships and persuade both partners and internal stakeholders

  • Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility, autonomy, and desire to make things happen

  • Fluent language skills in German and English

  • Willingness to travel within Germany
