Be the technical champion and trusted adviser for your accounts. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will partner with Red Hat Account Executives to achieve sales attainment goals through technical leadership both internally and with your customers. You will participate in the discovery of business and technical challenges to solve problems that map to Red Hat solutions. You will own the development of the Technical Account Plan for your top customers, help facilitate the coordination of domain experts, support resources and partners, and ensure outstanding customer satisfaction. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will need excellent communication and people skills, foundation of technical expertise, passion for open source, and a thorough understanding of business processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level.
Primary job responsibilities
Map business problems and technical challenges to Red Hat solutions
Develop lasting relationships with key technical and business stakeholders and Red Hat Partners
Understand and follow industry trends
Manage customer satisfaction issues through escalation paths provided to Red Hat support methods, and frequent checkpoints with customers both before and after the sale
Manage Technical Account Plan for key customers aligned to best practices proposed by the Sales Organization
Develop overall technical account plan and strategy; lead an ongoing cadence with all technical resources
Facilitate specialist resources
Participate in workshops and scoping of professional services
Engage and work with specialists aligned to customer requirements
Work with strategic partners
8-10 years of experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent supporting enterprise accounts
Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
Demonstrated record of developing relationships across multiple business segments and roles
Ability to interpret customer business problems and technical issues and effectively explain how a Red Hat solution will align to identified challenges or requirements
Knowledge of enterprise solutions and architectures, e.g. cloud, automation, DevOPS, big data, virtualization, storage, RDBMS or ERP, middleware, clustering, and high availability
Willingness to travel up to 60%
Fundamental knowledge of Linux or UNIX operating systems
Knowledge of all Red Hat solutions and overall architecture; ongoing Red Hat solutions and sales training through continuing education
Manager-directed deeper product knowledge; presentation skills
Technical Account Planning and Business Value Discovery experience
