The Red Hat Training team is looking for a Training Sales Specialist to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring new business, growing existing relationships with customers, and helping promote training open enrollment revenue in North America (NA). You'll communicate with customers over the phone while growing existing relationships and helping promote training bookings and revenue quotas within your specific territory. As a Training Sales Specialist, you’ll need to be great at engaging management decision-makers and building relationships over the phone.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Grow existing business relationships and acquire new business over the phone

  • Exceed bookings and revenue goals

  • Manage consumption and renewals of Red Hat Learning Subscription (RHLS)

  • Manage forecasts, provide quotes, close deals, and track data through Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Work extensively with partners to grow business in your specific territory

  • Share the responsibility of answering general incoming phone calls and email inquiries

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2+ years of sales experience in the IT industry with a proven record of achievement

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills to engage management and decision-makers at any level

  • Ability to work with many sales channels

  • Good computer skills

  • Experience with SFDC or an equivalent customer relationship management (CRM) system
