Job summary

The Red Hat Sales Strategy and Operations team is looking for a Strategy and Planning Executive to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner and consultant to ensure streamlined activities within the organization. You’ll handle day-to-day management activities to allow the Sales Strategy and Operations leader and the Senior Vice President of North America (NA) Commercial Sales to focus on growing the business.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Support NA Commercial Sales as a business enabling effective planning and implementation

  • Coordinate cross-group at all levels, using excellent communication skills

  • Develop and manage annual, semi-annual, and quarterly planning processes including organizational development, budgeting, forecast development, and expense management

  • Actively manage organizational budgets, spendings, and headcount

  • Guide strategic initiatives and collaboration across other organizations for successful outcomes

  • Partner with program and organizational leadership, Marketing, Finance, People, Legal, and PR teams to ensure that priorities are well represented and included in strategic discussions

  • Orchestrate high performing senior leadership team by managing relationships, developing priorities, and long-range plans, guiding key conversations, and identifying emerging opportunities both for people and the team

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA is a major plus

  • 15+ years of related work experience with at least 5 years in a field sales organization

  • Outstanding organizational skills and project and time management abilities

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functions

  • Keen business judgment with deep understanding of business operations

  • Ability to work on your own and identify value in an unstructured situation

  • Highest level of integrity and an unwavering sense of what is best for the business

  • Solid ability to convert technical concepts and strategy into clear, highly visual, executive slide presentations

  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire others to achieve a common objective
