Provide support for programs to the telco industry sales region and account-based marketing teams. The North America (NA) Account Based Marketing (ABM) team is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be a key contributor, helping the Field Marketing team achieve high levels of program success in terms of increased awareness, sales leads, and revenue generated. You’ll focus on marketing event planning and realization, sales communications, reporting and tracking, and general marketing support. As a Marketing Specialist, you will get an opportunity to help shape new programs and build support processes that will expand the Field Marketing team’s impact on regional sales. This is a high profile role in which you’ll interact with a variety of people across the Red Hat organization and externally.
Primary job responsibilities
Work with the NA telco vertical marketing lead and the ABM team, researching, planning, and carrying out designated NA telco industry events and ABM programs
Track campaigns and results to measure program success; coordinate with Market Development and Inside Sales teams and report on metrics
Identify new sales and marketing programs to help accelerate and guide pipeline
Work with third-party marketing vendors to ensure prompt, accurate, and effective deliverables
Help organize and distribute internal sales team updates and newsletters, Google event calendar updates, and other related communications
Provide timely response to requests and questions from sales representatives and solutions architects, ensuring that they have what they need from marketing to best do their jobs
Manage swag and Red Hat brand support materials
Take on other related responsibilities as needed
3+ years of marketing experience; familiarity with the technology industry is a plus
Previous event management experience
Keen understanding of field sales needs and the customer buying cycle
Analytical capability to handle campaign metrics, analysis, and reporting
Solid creative and writing skills to produce basic promotional messaging, website, and email copy
Bachelor's degree; graduate degree is a plus
Basic knowledge of Salesforce.com (SFDC), Eloqua, Google apps, Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop
Willingness to travel up to 25%
