Job summary

Serve as a system owner and subject matter expert for the Hyperion suite of tools. The Red Hat Enterprise Applications Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Hyperion Administrator to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for Hyperion administration, configuration, development, data loads, user training, system support, and enhancements of the Hyperion toolset. You'll need to have a proven ability to understand complex financial problems and provide explanations and solutions that are sound and clearly communicated. As a Hyperion Administrator, you’ll also need to have great communication skills and a global focus, as the core set of your responsibilities will be global by nature.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Hyperion modules including Planning, Essbase, Account Reconciliation Manager (ARM) and Financial Close Management (FCM), Financial Data Quality Management Enterprise Edition (FDMEE), and Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR)

  • Evangelize best practice use of Hyperion for scalable deployments

  • Ensure production environment stability and performance and that service-level agreements (SLAs) are met

  • Update FDMEE mappings and master data management (MDM), including dimension members and hierarchies

  • Load and reconcile data monthly (GL, HR, Fx, and Subledger) to Planning, Essbase, and ARM

  • Administer Hyperion Planning for each forecast, plan, and month-end cycles

  • Serve as a Hyperion data subject matter expert; manage data integrity

  • Administer user and group provisioning for all the applications

  • Administer financial close management templates, schedules, and tasks

  • Administer account reconciliation manager profiles, profile segments, reconciliations, and assignments

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable change management processes and procedures, including internal controls

  • Provide timely response and resolution of production questions, issues, and defects using a ticket monitoring system

  • Maintain other functional administrator and user documentation and checklists

  • Proactively build working relationships with Hyperion users to deliver, maintain, and enhance Hyperion functionality

  • Participate in requirements sessions and prepare detailed functional specifications, design models, and system workflows

  • Develop test scenarios, test scripts, and lead teams in unit, integration, and acceptance testing

  • Work with the Hyperion System Administrator and IT team for operating system and Hyperion patch testing

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of experience with Hyperion as an administrator; version is preferred)

  • 1-3 years of experience with Oracle EBS

  • Finance and accounting background; deep functional understanding of budgeting and forecasting

  • Solid understanding of Hyperion integrations including development, configuration, and management

  • Solid understanding of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides

  • Skilled user of Microsoft Office

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or computer science

  • Curious with solid initiative and ability to work without direct supervision

  • Organization skills; ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Good analytic and debugging skills

  • Experience creating functional and technical documentation in tools like Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
