The Red Hat Content team is looking for a Content Strategist to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work with product and corporate marketing teams to help our existing and prospective global customers solve complicated IT and business problems. You’ll work directly with marketers to plan for, write, and edit marketing content. You’ll advocate for a consistent voice across all of Red Hat’s marketing. As a Content Strategist, you’ll collaborate with students of content marketing, digital marketing, translation and localization strategy, branding, community building, and open source technologies. Your priorities will be to simplify and amplify the Red Hat voice, to engage prospective IT customers positively along their entire Red Hat experience, to connect Red Hat’s content contributors, and to build awareness of the importance of quality writing and communication at Red Hat.
Primary job responsibilities
Partner with multiple marketing teams to plan for and write engaging marketing content
Conduct content audits and create editorial plans with product and corporate marketing teams
Collaborate with data analysts, SEO and on-site search experts, and UX teams to identify clear goals for marketing content
Measure the effectiveness of your projects against defined goals and larger marketing team goals
Consult with Marketing and Content team associates to monitor content performance and suggest improvements
Connect with content contributors across Red Hat to create consistent experiences for existing and prospective customers
Apply your unique skills and insights to take on passion projects that make Red Hat better
Serve as an advocate for the Red Hat brand and voice
Be a continual student of your craft and share your insights and ideas with others across the company
4+ years of relevant experience as a website writer or content strategist
Experience with the AP Style Guide
Solid attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and time effectively
Ability to understand and simplify complex information
Passion for website content and a high regard for an exceptional user experience
Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative work environment
Ability to handle multiple priorities under deadlines, manage time effectively, establish priorities, and communicate expectations to stakeholders
Effective and persuasive communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, demanding environment
Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Drupal, Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce.com (SFDC), QlikView, BrightEdge, ClickTale, or similar systems and tools is a plus
Global experience (beyond North America) and multilingual candidates are a plus
