Job summary
Support the internal communication needs of many of Red Hat’s functions by creating strategies and plans to guide their initiatives. The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Communication Strategist to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work with the Extended Communications team, a network of communicators throughout Red Hat, to promote best practices and adoption of tools. You'll often partner with team members across the HR team and other functions and work on additional communication consulting opportunities, responding to evolving business needs.
Primary job responsibilities
Partner with corporate functions and business teams across Red Hat, including Global Workplace Solutions (GWS), Finance, Operations, Marketing and Brand, Sales, and Legal teams, to develop communication strategies and plans to support their business needs
Guide corporate strategy communication
Support executive communication for senior Red Hat leaders
Participate in the Extended Communication team and groups of formal communicators to create a highly connected network of internal communicators to promote best practices, share strategies, and gain a better understanding of communication activities throughout the company
Consult on senior leader and manager communication and community
Launch and support communication of HR team’s initiatives
Provide additional communication consulting on other topics as needed
Required skills
8+ years of experience in communication
Bachelor's degree in communication or a related field
Consultative skills with a focus on the customers; detail and process-oriented
Great organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working with a variety of cross-functional teams
Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to think creatively and explore or implement a modern or unconventional approach to solving problems
Ability to guide and make an impact
