Job summary

The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Benefits and Employee Operations Coordinator to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will provide on-site benefits and employee relations support and will assist in resolving inquiries and delivering services related to both functional areas throughout North America and Latin America. You'll carry out operational processes to ensure that Red Hat's programs are administered in accordance with People team processes, plan provisions, company policies, and legal requirements.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Provide customer service support to managers and associates on Red Hat benefits processes, programs, and policies

  • Escalate or transfer tickets to the Benefits team as needed and respond to routine questions

  • Administer the U.S. leave of absence process

  • Present benefits overview at new hire orientation

  • Partner with U.S. Benefits team to carry out open enrollment processes

  • Actively identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows to support increased operational excellence and efficiencies

  • Manage the involuntary separations process, including the completion of webforms and coordination of offboarding with various teams like IT, Global Work Solutions, Payroll, etc.

  • Escalate or transfer tickets to the Americas Regional Delivery team as needed and respond to routine questions

  • Provide customer service support to managers and associates on Red Hat employee relations processes, programs, and policies

  • Manage associate accommodations requests for equipment

  • Facilitate the monthly global exit survey status report

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 1-3 years of Benefits and Leave of Absence administration experience

  • 1-3 years of prior employee relations experience

  • Great customer-service and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as keen attention to detail

  • Excellent time-management and multitasking skills

  • Experience with general employment laws is preferred

  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus
