Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Inside Sales Account Representative to join us in Plano, TX. In this role, you will be aligned with 3-4 field sales executives and sell the entire Red Hat portfolio to new and existing customers. Your responsibilities will include identifying and nurturing new leads, as well as helping quote and close business. This is a great opportunity to work collaboratively with internal and external partners to improve business and create solutions that serve Red Hat and our customers.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Sell Red Hat’s comprehensive enterprise solutions

  • Provide quotes to both direct customers and Red Hat reseller partners

  • Work closely with Red Hat Operations, Legal, and other back offices teams to structure complex deals

  • Manage sales forecasts and track customer data using company standard CRM tools

  • Exceed your assigned sales goals

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, marketing, or a technical discipline

  • 2+ years of IT sales experience

  • 2+ years of successful quota carrying sales experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient computer skills in tools like Salesforce.com, Microsoft Excel and Word, or similar

  • Motivated with the ability to work on your own and be a contributing member of a team

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks on time
