With the digital transformation changing the financial services industry (FSI), Red Hat is partnering with global system integrators (GSIs) more than ever. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Strategic Business Development Manager focusing on GSIs and SIs to join us in the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. In this role, you will guide our financial services SI strategy and shape our go-to-market strategy to position Red Hat as the vendor of choice within the finance sector market for SIs and FinTech vendors. You’ll use your business insight into FSI to enable our joint go-to-market strategy from building joint use cases to creating SI-relevant content and joint account strategies. As an FSI Strategic Business Development Manager, you will report directly to the Vice President of EMEA Strategic Business Development, collaborating closely with your counterparts in other regions. Your success will be measured by our continuous growth in this sector and by the accelerated adoption of all Red Hat’s Solutions, especially the emerging ones. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor a finance sector go-to-market strategy that focuses on our partnership with SIs
Define and raise awareness for Red Hat's value proposition for all partners in the FSI vertical, aligning GSI business with the Red Hat objectives and technologies
Serve as an expert on understanding structure, challenges, and business drivers of lines of business within banking sectors (especially corporate banking) and insurance to transform our go-to-market strategy together with SIs
Identify executive sponsors and promote the success of the joint go-to-market strategy
Initiate proof-of-concept work for specific projects or generic repeatable solutions for the FSI vertical
Team up with the Red Hat EMEA GSI and SI generalist partner team
Manage all relevant programs and offerings by working with teams across Red Hat sales, product marketing managers, and technical leads into SI partners
Lead by example by being highly visible through direct customer engagements in the field, promote new business initiatives, and participate in closing deals
Expert knowledge of and proven record in FSI, ideally internally in business team functions and IT Experience selling software solutions in the finance sector; prior experience within the SI sector is a plus
Solid record of business development success in supporting and achieving business or sales targets
Solid understanding of technology, preferably with an existing record of working on projects in IT or digital transformation
Outstanding communication skills combined with solid customer focus
Experience building and developing successful relationships within the finance sector, SIs, ISVs, and partners
