Job summary

Focus on the development and growth of our emerging technology and infrastructure partners and the associated market in the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. The Red Hat Channels business team is looking for a Channel Account Manager to join our partner and alliances team in Sydney, Australia. In this role, you will lead our partners to grow business in our emerging technology and infrastructure markets. You’ll work with our partners and other Red Hat’s associates to develop and lead Red Hat's activities and grow our emerging technologies and infrastructure business. You’ll work cooperatively with partners and the business across the region to create activities and processes that promote Red Hat’s offerings, develop and further grow our successful partner ecosystem, encourage new partners to adopt and promote our offerings, services, and solutions, and grow our emerging technologies. As a Channel Account Manager, you’ll need to have experience in the B2B information and communications technology (ICT) reseller or ICT value-added reseller (VAR) space, have a basic to sound understanding of the channels landscape in ANZ, and a solid understanding of emerging technologies and infrastructure. This is a newly developed, business development channels role reporting into the Director of Channels, ANZ.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Help define and successfully carry out Red Hat’s emerging technology and infrastructure strategy and business plans to ensure that we exceed our business objectives

  • Contribute to and provide management and leadership of our partner ecosystem including our developing Red Hat’s partners to successfully grow our emerging technology and infrastructure practices

  • Create initiatives to positively extend the Red Hat partner base in ANZ across key metrics, including coverage, market share, bookings, and share of wallet

  • Achieve the sales objectives established for Red Hat’s emerging technology and infrastructure markets

  • Provide subject matter expertise, support, and leadership to the members of the business and partners within the ecosystem around emerging technology and infrastructure

  • Measure and report on your successes

Required skills

  • Motivated and engaged; ability to work with partners and a broad range of internal stakeholders

  • Proven experience entering new markets or significantly growing an existing market on an accelerated curve with a partner-focused approach

  • Experience managing and leading solutions providers and system integrators (SIs), including a sound understanding of how to successfully enable sell-with and sell-through activities

  • 3+ years of experience in international sales and business development in a partner ecosystem

  • Ability to inspire others in order to achieve results

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
