The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect with broad experience in design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise Java and Polyglot applications to join us in Manila, Philippines. In this role, you will listen to customer technical challenges and suggest various solutions, understanding that the same solutions may not be suitable for everyone. You’ll work with the Sales team to provide deep technical insight for Red Hat JBoss Middleware and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform solutions. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you’ll need to have deep understanding of cloud-native development, JEE, and supporting technologies, along with experience applying them to solve real-world problems. You'll also need excellent communication and people skills, as you’ll be in front of customers on a daily basis.
Primary job responsibilities
Understand customer challenges and provide technical solutions to address these issues using the Red Hat portfolio
Use your extensive knowledge of our offerings and technical expertise to prepare customer proposals
Deliver presentations and demonstrate our offerings to customers and partners
Present complex solutions to potential customers, explaining the business value of Red Hat's solutions
Support technical practical proofs of concepts based on agreed-upon success criteria to achieve technical wins in customer engagements
Educate partners on the capabilities of Red Hat's solutions
Deliver compelling recommendations that result in the closing of new sales
Gain deep understanding of customer business and IT environments and collaborate with sales teams to assess the potential application of Red Hat's solutions
Support marketing events by evangelizing Red Hat's solutions and conduct demonstrations
5-8 years of experience doing presales in the application development or middleware domains
Advanced knowledge of Java development with JEE and Spring, preferably on the Red Hat JBoss Middleware solutions platform
Advanced knowledge of middleware solutions covering enterprise integration, API management, business process management (BPM), business rules engines, and data caching solutions
Good knowledge of open source cloud-native application development and architectures, preferably on Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions like OpenShift by Red Hat or other equivalent platforms
Good knowledge of open source technologies like Docker containers and Kubernetes container orchestration, etc.
Proven record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations
Comfortable presenting to and having technical and business discussions with senior executives
Ability to orchestrate proofs of concepts from the concept to business closure stages
Good written and verbal language skills in English
Experience with Linux and other infrastructure software is a plus
