Impact the achievement of our business growth by creating and implementing appealing marketing campaigns targeted on the Iberian region. The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Manager to join us in Madrid, Spain. In this role, you will report to the field marketing director for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. You'll develop and implement integrated marketing programs and campaigns, some of which will be centrally provided, targeting and nurturing existing and prospective direct customers and our channel and alliance business partners. Through these programs and campaigns, you will support business plans for Spain and Portugal, covering customer events and trade shows, promotions, advertisement, direct mailings, online communication, and PR in cooperation with a marketing team. Your day-to-day work with the Iberia leadership team will be crucial to the success of your mission.
Primary job responsibilities
Engage with the senior manager, regional marketing, and the sales and channel sales leadership to define, prioritize, and implement marketing programs and campaigns with our existing and prospective customers and select local partners and alliances
Engage with selected local resellers and distributors to create and lead marketing campaigns to grow revenue and sales opportunities
Use a broad mix of marketing programs (e.g., event marketing, social media, and direct marketing to named accounts and customers) to generate interest and demand
Track and monitor the ROI of programs and investment by engaging with partner marketing teams and channel sales resources to ensure the value is quantified and captured for future investment
Engage with sales management and sales teams to educate field sales representatives on the value proposition of open source, Red Hat's portfolio of solutions, and how to convince customers to choose our solutions
Follow lead management processes and metrics to ensure success of campaigns
Apply the right marketing tools and systems as appropriate, including web content submissions and management
Serve as a budget manager and facilitate the relationship with third-party vendors for campaigns and activities
8-10 years of experience in a variety of marketing areas within the IT sector; both direct and channel marketing experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a relevant field
Knowledge of the different stages of the customer buying cycle, campaign metrics and analysis, and market intelligence resources
Knowledgeable and experienced in the Spanish market
Good knowledge of tools and processes related to go-to-market campaigns
Experience in leading and building a diverse team in a matrixed environment
Excellent communication skills to give presentations at industries events and interact with the press
Demonstrate leadership and creativity
Fluent language skills in English and Spanish; knowledge of Portuguese is a major plus
