Job summary

Focus on our digital transformation and application migration and modernization business. The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Practice Lead to join the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Solutions Practice leadership team. In this role, you will guide thought leadership, build out services-led solutions, and support complex customer delivery. You’ll work closely with the regional consulting leadership team (regional and technical sales managers) to achieve the organization’s business objectives measured by services bookings, revenue, and margin and utilization targets. As a Senior Practice Lead, you’ll need to have a unique combination of business insight and consultative technical skills, as well as C-level executive presence. You’ll be expected to use your expertise to seek out new opportunities for customer value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities to build the pipeline and promote the adoption of Red Hat’s technologies and solutions. Primary job responsibilities

  • Manage the Digital Transformation Practice team in EMEA

  • Actively participate in the development of your teams

  • Manage teams focused on a diversified and changing emerging technology portfolio with special focus on the digital transformation journey with agile methodologies, microservices, container adoption, and application migration and modernization

  • Identify key projects where practice teams can provide added value with new services approaches and methodologies

  • Be responsible for meeting the regional consulting team business objectives, including the team’s billable utilization levels to meet financial targets and successful customer delivery

  • Guide services’ thought leadership and business success through cross-functional alignment with sales, business, engineering, support, enablement, and training teams

  • Work with Solutions Specialist Sales leadership to integrate and improve customer pursuit approaches, track and report on business progress, and align capacity with expected demand

  • Ensure customer success by collaborating with engineering and support to validate that consulting approaches and methodologies are in line with recommended standards

  • Apply customer and market experience to constantly improve training and enablement programs and materials so that they best apply to consulting needs

  • Promote the development and enablement of services methodology, best practices, and technical content on next generation infrastructure management and operations and emerging offerings that will result in high customer satisfaction and supportability

  • Enable the greater customer, internal, and partner teams with proven service methodologies, technology skills, and approach

  • Guide and mentor other associates to provide consistent and reusable delivery methodologies with a focus on digital transformation, container adoption, and long-term supportability

  • Support the enablement team around the digital transformation technologies and emerging solutions

Required skills

  • Recognized leader with a solid combination of consultative, technology, and business insight

  • Experience in business transformation or change management

  • Solid knowledge of and operational experience with new services methodologies related to next generation Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) technologies, operations management and automation, and agile and DevOps methodologies

  • Deep understanding of current customer business and technology requirements and their spectrum of journeys (traditional to cloud-native or hybrid)

  • Strategic planning skills on a business development level; ability to build an effective business case reflecting the value of an appropriate strategy

  • Experience and demonstrated expertise in the management of a professional services team (including customer-facing skills) with highly technical associates

  • Proven record of working in a strategic advisory capacity to senior IT operations and engineering professionals and business executives

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms

  • Proven ability to work seamlessly with distributed cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers

  • Excellent project oversight skills

  • Comfortable working with highly distributed teams, including interaction with open source communities

  • Passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation

  • University or bachelor's degree; advanced university degree or MBA is a plus

  • Demonstrated achievement of progressively senior customer interaction (including C-suite) and broad portfolio selling in Fortune 1000 enterprises

  • Prior experience in customer-facing responsibilities in a consulting or presales function

  • Experience with agile frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Kanban, scrum, Lean, XP, design thinking, etc.)

  • Considered a mentor of selling strategy, including designing strategy

  • 10+ years of related consulting experience

  • Project management skills

  • Willingness to travel weekly to customer locations throughout EMEA

  • Experience across one or more vertical industry areas (e.g., telco, financial - FSI, public sector, or healthcare) is a plus
