Job summary

The Platform Business Unit at Red Hat is looking for a Product Marketing Intern to join us in Munich, Germany. You will work cross-functionally and globally with numerous teams, including Product Management, Technical Marketing, Partner Management, Field Marketing, Channel Marketing, Sales, and Services. You will work on a wide range of projects across various marketing teams. This role can be flexible to offer either part-time hours on a 12 month basis or full time on a 6 month basis. Either way, the start date would be April or May 2018.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product management teams to ensure marketing plans align with directions and support product roadmap and releases

  • Create concise and compelling core product messaging that embodies key product attributes, including value proposition, positioning, and differentiation

  • Create effective marketing assets and content, including whitepapers, presentations, case studies, solution briefs, web content, data sheets, and sales kits that can be used globally

  • Develop and implement social media plan and related activities

  • Develop and deliver enablement and training activities for Sales, Pre-sales, and Professional Services teams and partners

  • Support the team with vendor coordination, project status tracking and updates and data management

Required skills

  • Interest in software and technology fields

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or MBA (or have graduated within the last 12 months), with a focus on marketing, computer science, or a related area; business or economics degree may also be considered, depending on experience

  • Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving, technical environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in an influence-driven and cross-functional environment
