Job summary

Work with partner sales and services organizations, as well as IT and business executives, to develop and carry out sales plans. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a strategic Account Manager of Financial Industries to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will be focusing on the financial vertical including banks, securities, and insurance companies selling complex software solutions, particularly in environments with multiple solutions. You will build new relationships and expand business with existing customers within an assigned territory or industry. You will be responsible for all aspects of the sale, including price negotiations, contract development, and order fulfillment. You will also coordinate internal resources, including sales engineering and technical support.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Create strategic and tactical plans for the most important large-scale accounts in your named account list

  • Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and price quotes

  • Develop sustainable revenue across technology lines

  • Accurately forecast and close sales that align with company goals

  • Understand customers' business and technology product needs and communicate those to executives

Required skills

  • 10+ years of direct sales experiences in the IT software and services industry

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in business, marketing, or a technical discipline

  • Ability to articulate technological strategies to a wide range of decision-makers within an organization, including technical, business, and executive audiences
