Support our customers and partner ecosystem. The Red Hat Presales team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will provide technical support to our Sales team to qualify sales opportunities and close deals from a deeply technical perspective. You’ll work with sales team to take advantage of opportunities as they arise and build and develop solutions. You’ll participate in the proposal development process, including partner recruitment planning, enablement, business opportunity identification, requirements capture meetings, and technical discussions with prospective partners or customers. You’ll help our partners in architecting solutions, presenting compelling recommendations and convincing prospective Red Hat’s customers to implement our industry-leading open source solutions. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in capturing customer requirements. You’ll need to have solid balance of consultative sales skills and broad technical knowledge of the best solutions from across the Red Hat JBoss Middleware portfolio, Platform-as-a-Solution (PaaS)-related technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenStack Platform), DevOps tools, and more. You’ll also need to have solid technical expertise as well as excellent business insight to be able to present executive lT leadership with a compelling business case to invest in Red Hat’s solutions.
Primary job responsibilities
Support Red Hat’s sales efforts
Serve as the technical point of contact for the presales team to achieve business targets
Deliver proofs of concepts and benchmarks, discover consultative solutions, and architect major projects
Understand customers requirements, provide demonstrations, deliver presentations, perform limited evaluations of our offerings, and communicate technical information to support the sales process
Use your deep knowledge of our offerings and multiple industries to build our business through increased sales
Develop and deliver business-focused presentations of our offerings to executive-level audiences in large customer organizations
Speak publicly and evangelize about the Red Hat’s solutions at large seminars and events
10+ years of software industry technical working experience
5+ years of project delivery experience in an architect role
5+ years of solid direct experience with and very good practical skills in JEE
Good presentation skills; ability to present to both small and large groups of mixed business, technical, and management backgrounds
Good knowledge of and experience with enterprise application architecture and software engineering methodology
Working knowledge of middleware technologies like transaction management software, message queuing middleware, object request brokers, modelling and development tools, and database management systems
Good software architect skills and practical skills in application development using technologies like Java, middleware, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and cloud
Good communication and presentation skills: good experiences as a speaker in big event or conferences
Good planning and strategic thinking skills; experience planning and carrying out mid or long-term (over half a year-long) initiatives or programs
Telco industry-related experience is a big plus
Relevant network functions virtualization (NFV) project experience or skill are a big plus
