Job summary

The Red Hat China Enterprise Sales team is looking for a Sales Manager focusing on government to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and growing the business within the government verticals, especially the key central government departments. You’ll work on transformational projects with key customers and on key opportunities.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Senior Director of Enterprise Sales

  • Oversee the Enterprise sales team of 5 associates in the telco industry

  • Lead the telco sales activity with specific focus on government industry in China

  • Lead and manage a team of sales account managers

  • Foster a “big deal” mindset and orientation that ensures expansive growth in deal size

Required skills

  • 10-15 years of experience within the IT and software industry with a record of holding

  • progressive roles in sales and sales management

  • 7+ years of sales management experience with a record of leading sales teams with proven success in leading and managing account sales managers

  • Experience in the government industry and a comprehensive network of executive-level industry contacts

  • Outstanding leadership skills and ability to inspire, motivate, and provide vision to a sizeable team in order to achieve strategic growth goals and annual and quarterly revenue targets

  • Demonstrated record of managing and growing a business vertical across a region with experience working with matrixed structures; proven success inspiring and persuading corporate support functions and business teams
