Lead the Specialist Solutions Architecture team for supporting our customers and partner ecosystem. The Red Hat Presales team is looking for a Manager to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will manage a presales team and provide technical support to qualify sales opportunities and close deals. You’ll work with the sales team throughout the presales, solutions development, and proposal development processes, including participating in requirements capture meetings and technical discussions with prospective customers. You’ll help our partners in architecting solutions, presenting compelling recommendations, and convincing prospective Red Hat’s customers to implement our industry-leading open source solutions. As a Manager, you will create a supportive environment that enables consistent workflows, improved communication, cross-team collaboration, and regular reporting. You’ll also play a critical role in capturing business, you you’ll need to have solid balance of consultative sales skills and broad technical knowledge across the Red Hat JBoss Middleware portfolio, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)-related technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenStack Platform), DevOps tools, and more. You’ll need to have solid technical expertise as well as excellent business insight to be able to present executive lT leadership with a compelling business case to invest in Red Hat’s solutions.
Primary job responsibilities
Lead a presales team to support Red Hat’s field sales efforts; set the goals and priorities for highly efficient and consistent operations
Manage the presales team to work with the Sales team for achieving sales targets
Work with the Sales team to figure out business and account plan
Research and identify customer needs for developing and delivering business-focused solutions with Red Hat's offerings and services
Develop and deliver business-focused presentations of our offerings to executive-level audiences in large customer organizations
Speak publicly and evangelize about the Red Hat’s solutions at large seminars and events
Obtain first-hand customer information and use it to promote demand for current Red Hat’s offerings
Maintain a keen awareness of ongoing customer business issues and the impact that Red Hat's offerings could make on their effectiveness and efficiency
Regularly measure and monitor progress and results by using defined metrics
Provide adequate resources to achieve plans, justifying additional resources as required
10+ years of relevant experience in the middleware or cloud software area in the enterprise market in China
8+ years of experience in presales, as a consultant with customer focus or an application architect, or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience working as a presales people manager of a team of 10+ members
Excellent communication skills, especially listening, presentation, negotiation skills
Solid technical background in and knowledge of middleware technologies like transaction management software, message queuing middleware, object request brokers, modelling and development tools, and database management systems
Good business development skills; ability to build and maintain constructive customer leader relationships
Good business management skills; ability to translate plans into specific and measurable goals for yourself and others
Solid technical problems-solving skills
High degree of motivation, organization, and professionalism
Advanced technical and commercial experience with all of the Red Hat JBoss Middleware portfolio, Java, DevOps, and related technologies
10+ years of working experience in multiple industries like government, financial services, manufacture, retail, telco, or media is a big plus
Experience managing people remotely is a plus
