Job summary

The Red Hat Global Learning Services (GLS) team is looking for a Japanese-speaking Senior Customer Support Specialist to join us in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be part of the Learner Experience team, providing timely technical support to our students with respect to their queries on Red Hat online training, course-related guided lab exercises, and certification. Your primary focus will be on the Japanese customers, although not limited to that. As a Senior Customer Support Specialist, you'll need to continuously learn and deepen your knowledge of Red Hat’s solutions.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to students by responding to incoming service requests about the Red Hat Online Learning system

  • Assist students with understanding our Red Hat Online Learning system and course content and course-related guided lab exercises

  • Apply hot fixes to course content or lab environments

  • Collaborate with other members of Red Hat’s training teams to resolve issues for our students

  • Assist curriculum developers in building and deploying cloud images for training lab exercises

  • Deploy updated or new course content into the Red Hat Online Learning system

  • Perform quality assurance (QA) tests on lab content produced by the Red Hat Training Curriculum Development team

  • Continuously expand your knowledge of Red Hat’s solutions

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the enterprise IT industry

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese

  • Premium customer service skills and prior customer-focused role experience

  • Ability to work across multiple time zones

  • Command line expertise in Linux

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certifications are a plus

  • Ability to troubleshoot Red Hat JBoss Middleware solutions is a plus
