Develop and implement integrated marketing programs and campaigns targeting and nurturing existing and prospective direct customers and our channel and alliances business partners. The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Field Marketing Specialist to join us in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will support the regional and global business plans through these programs, covering customer events and trade shows, promotions, advertisement, direct mailings, online communication, and PR in cooperation with regional marketing teams. You’ll connect our business and creative teams to carry out on launches of our offerings, events, campaigns, and other marketing programs.
Primary job responsibilities
Develop and own the annual marketing plan through market segmentation, design, and implementation, including face-to-face, digital, and social media, that is aligned with local business priorities
Design and manage engagement with the C-level executive agenda with an objective to inspire a good relationship
Manage marketing performance by actively reviewing and tracking the ROI for all marketing campaigns and make performance decisions and shifts to optimize spending and return
Engage with sales management and sales teams to educate field sales representatives on the value proposition of open source, Red Hat's portfolio of solutions, and how to convince customers to choose our solutions
Carry out the country marketing plan, including initiatives like Red Hat events, third-party conference sponsorships, and digital and social campaigns
Engage the country business leader and serve as a trusted adviser for all questions and topics related to marketing and branding
Manage multiple simultaneous projects with cross-functional teams
8+ years of experience in a variety of marketing areas within the IT sector; both direct and channel marketing experience is a plus
Solid record to analyze data and draw inference
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a relevant field
Exceptional communication and interpersonal, organizational, and account management skills
Record of building relationships with sales management and collaborating on the definition and prioritization of marketing programs while managing expectations to ensure that realistic commitments are set
Record of managing multiple successful campaigns under tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal language skills in English
Deep understanding of functional aspects of campaign management and technical administration through marketing automation tools; knowledge of Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Eloqua is a plus
