Job summary

Guide the adoption of Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Ceph Storage, and Red Hat Virtualization solutions in our key enterprise accounts. The Red Hat Specialist Solutions Architecture team is looking for a Senior Manager to join us as a cloud infrastructure team leader in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will collaborate with regional sales teams, consulting leadership, product teams, and engineering teams and build a team of experts to design and carry out a prescribed process to achieve design wins in the identified customer base. You’ll lead the development and dissemination of content and best practices to enable Red Hat’s field teams to successfully deliver Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Ceph Storage, and Red Hat Virtualization solutions to the market. You’ll need to have extensive experience building and managing teams of technical professionals tasked with taking an emerging technology solution to the enterprise IT market. As a Red Hat Senior Manager focused on Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Ceph Storage, and Red Hat Virtualization, you'll need to be experienced with cloud architectures like Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and their supporting infrastructures and have excellent understanding of DevOps models.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Recruit, enable, manage, and retain a global team of Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Ceph Storage, and Red Hat Virtualization subject matter experts to architect and deliver on successful customer workshops and proofs of concepts

  • Design and implement a field engagement model to achieve the target number of customer design wins by region

  • Collaborate effectively with regional sales and consulting leaders to ensure these design achievements are reached efficiently and translate smoothly into ongoing subscription and consulting relationships

  • Collaborate with business and engineering teams on field feedback, outstanding issues, and roadmaps for our offerings

  • Create and implement processes and tools to track and report on initiatives or team activities and their progress

Required skills

  • Experience managing a technical architecture team with demonstrated ability to use personal knowledge, processes, and solutions to meet key business objectives

  • Relationship-driven with a proven ability to build credibility at the executive level

  • Ability to understand and explain Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) architectures

  • Strategic and creative with an ability to create a startup initiative through recruiting and team enablement

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, or science

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

  • Red Hat OpenStack Platform experience is a plus
