Job summary

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Modernization Architect to join us as part of our European Emerging Technology Practice team in Italy. In this role, you will help customers move workloads onto a new platform and handle process, organizational, and cultural changes. You’ll serve as an adviser to ensure our customers understand the technology and are capable of using it on their own. As a Modernization Architect, you'll guide the adoption process of new platform architecture with a special focus on the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Guide our enterprise customers through application migration and modernization, based around the Red Hat Consulting Service Delivery Framework (SDF)

  • Set up workflows and programs for application modernization

  • Apply analysis and define modernization strategies

  • Design and set up new platforms for application delivery

  • Work with product and engineering teams to help define operational architectures for organizations

Required skills

  • 5-8 years of experience in a medium-to-large development environment, preferably as a consultant or an architect

  • Experience with Docker, containers, and related technologies; experience with OpenShift by Red Hat is a plus

  • Knowledge and understanding of microservices architecture and the design and development of applications

  • Solid experience with a modern software development methodology
