Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Business Development Manager focusing on independent software vendors (ISVs) to join us in Milan, Italy with responsibility for Italy and Israel. In this role, you will deliver on Red Hat's strategy to build mind share and adoption with our ISV partners across the entire portfolio. You’ll establish and grow strategic relationships for a specific group of strategic ISV partnerships located across Italy and Israel. You'll create joint business plans, carry out strategic enablement activities for ISV partners, and develop executive-level relationships with them. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the long-term strategic growth and for enabling the global relationships across the defined partner set. Additionally, we'll need you to have a good combination of business development and communication skills to develop the in-region ISV sales focus and approach.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Serve as the central point of comprehensive account knowledge for all assigned partnerships

  • Create joint business plans and engage at all levels of the company to achieve results and meet the commitments of partner business plans

  • Define and carry out partner–specific revenue generation marketing programs to deliver sales against an assigned revenue target

  • Work with the Red Hat Field Sales team to guide opportunities from concept to creation

  • Promote the adoption and certification of Red Hat software platforms

  • Conduct quarterly executive reviews of partnerships, including business and technical assessments of Red Hat's adoption and selling progress and attainment of quarterly sales revenue

Required skills

  • 10+ years of experience in a global organization; record of creating and defining key partner relationships

  • Ability to work in a highly adaptive and agile environment to consistently exceed key performance metrics

  • Ability to create and grow positive partner relationships through successful development and implementation of a business planning process

  • Good understanding of the Italian and Israeli ISV marketplace

  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across internal and external teams

  • Italian and English language skills

  • Hebrew language skills are a big plus
